In Flight Entertainment Manager
El Al Israel
I was born in 1961 in Tel Aviv.
I finished my academic studies in Film & Television and Business Management in 1990.
Since 1991 I worked in the TV industry.
In 1994 I was appointed to an Executive Producer of one of the TV studios in Israel.
In 1996 I started my career as a freelance TV director.
In 1999 I was asked by the East Africa "Sony" representative to come and consult to the local television companies about professional production and broadcasting issues. I've done it for two very experiential years.
At the end of 2001 I came back to the Israeli TV industry.
In 2006 I was asked from EL AL to join as a consultant to a project of upgrading the Inflight Entertainment (IFE) Experience. The first main goal was to upgrade all the IFE systems from the analog generation to digital.
EL AL has quit a wide range of different IFE systems which creates few platforms that made the project more complicated but at the end all the EL AL fleets based on digital technology, from one simple server for main screen up to state of the art VOD system.
During the years and as much that I got in to the IFE industry I was asked from EL AL to become the IFE manager and to built and develop the content concept for all kind of platforms.
The digital generation opened a wide range of options on the content side and it was a challenge to recognize and develop all methods to exploit the technology.
The Age of Connectivity brings us a new challenge where we are right in these days as I define and design the new entertainment system for the new Dreamliner planes and again we redefine the concept of State Of The Art.
Keeping the process of evolution and development I continue to lead the IFEC sector for EL AL.
